15/06/12 - 100 years young

Hoburne times its centenary perfectly
There aren’t many family-owned holiday businesses that can boast continuous independence spanning 100 years, but our client Hoburne is one of them.
Still owned and run by the family that started the business after buying Hubborn Farm back in 1912, Hoburne is celebrating its centenary this year at its seven much-loved holiday parks across the South of England.
Hoburne’s focus for this special year is on their nominated charity CLIC Sargent, which supports children and young people with cancer. With the help of their holidaymakers, Hoburne staff are hoping to raise more than £100,000.
Fundraising kicked off with a Christmas concert, and over the past 6 months there have been a host of charity events on parks, from musical extravaganzas to egg and spoon races.
Managing Director James cycled 350 miles, visiting every Hoburne park on the way, staff members Tim and Christian ran the London Marathon and Hoburne mascot Sammy Seahorse released his first official single - the "Sammy Wiggle" - on iTunes.
We’re only halfway through the year so there’s plenty to come. Keep an eye on the Hoburne website for more info.
