After a rather long break I took to the hills

It's been a while since I've been out on the Quantocks, this weekend offered the perfect weather.

Sub-zero biking & cold spectating

I headed over to Wales this weekend just gone. Pictured above is one of the many sections that didn't get any sun that day.

Pushing the boundaries of home working

Ben and I popped to Cornwall last week on business and we did a post meeting ride (I keep saying Mountain Biking is the new Golf).

This is Ben taking a quick call whilst negotiating one of the more mellow sections of our ride that took us from Wadebridge to Padstow via the Saints Path and the Camel Trail.

Mark, our guide for the afternoon, demonstrated his true marketer acumen by informing us that this was indeed the exact same field that the Tesco Ad staring Martin Clunes was filmed in (you know the one he is in his pyjamas and wanders off to get some milk) – click here to take a peek.

What is that thing in the sky again?

Hard to believe it but I went mountain biking in Wales the week before last for a whole week and it didn't rain.

Yes I was shaking a cold off, yes I wasn't as fit as I wanted to be but the sun shone and Wales turned from a usually grey and muddy place into riding like you'd find in California. It was heaven.

This picture was taken at a place called Artist Valley which is near Aberystwyth. As part of this bike ride we even cycled past Robert Plants house which looked rather cool to say the least.

Back to spin at the gym tonight, not quite the same I have to say!
